‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Season 2 debuting in Japan in October!

October couldn't come any sooner as the second season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba kicks off fall this year. Japanese viewers would be among the first in the world to be satiated with a new arc set in the red light district of Yoshiwara. 

Season 2 continues where the movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train left off. Those who missed watching the box office hit animated feature last year would be happy to know that there would be a recap of the events at the beginning of the new season. ICYDK, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train holds two records of being the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time. Dude, it beat Spirited Away and Titanic!

It will then adapt mangaka Koyoharu Gotouge's Red Light District arc (Entertainment District arc for US audiences) where the sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, joins the young demon slayers Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu to solve the mystery of missing married women. Set in the Taisho Period in Japan, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba revolves around young demon slayer Tanjiro whose sister Nezuko was turned into a demon. It is based on a manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. So, if you don't like spoilers, stay away from the fans of the manga in the meantime.
