Daily Life of a Background Anime Character

Feeling like an extra in a world full of anime main characters (more like, “ani-main”) acting super extra? Okay lang ‘yan! There’s nothing wrong with wanting a chill life without any of the kadramahan and over-the-top antics which follow our resident punong abala/hero. Pero minsan, ikaw ang nagiging collateral damage sa mga kalokohan niya. Whether it’s avoiding getting kidnapped or dodging stray attacks, we’re here to help you have a stress-free life while living in the same anime world. 

When the bida and the kontrabida start staring daggers at each other—run!

Don’t worry because you have more than enough time to make your great escape bago magkagulo. May mahabang litanya pa ang bawat isa at kung swertehin ka pa, magkaka-flashback pa. Use this time to gather your valuables and run to a safer area. 

Sa mga nakiki-WiFi outside: Kapag nakita mo na si MC, lumipat ka na ng lugar.

If it’s a slice-of-life comedy, for sure, mag-iingay ang mga ’yan, which eventually leads to someone tripping and you getting hot coffee all over your shirt. Kung action anime naman, baka mahagisan ka pa ng upuan.

Kapag na-invite ka ni MC on an “epic quest” kuno, politely beg off ka na!

If ’di ka kasama sa regular tropa ni ani-main, danger awaits! Kahit teacher mo pa nag-assign sa’yo, mag-absent ka na lang! it’s not worth the risk kasi malamang the kontrabida is just around the corner waiting to strike. Actually, even the BFFs are prone to injury, which gives the hero motivation para rumesbak. 

Don’t challenge the MC to a fight, whether it’s for sport or an all-out brawl!

Sure, at the beginning you’ll think that you’ve got the upper-hand pero kasama lang ’yun sa storyline para may kaunting tension. Eventually though, uuwi kang talunan kasi biglang magkaka-power-up moment si bida to achieve victory. 

Despite everything, you should still make nice with the bida!

After all, the anime hero is trying his/her best to make the world a safe place for everyone to live in and essentially, saving your butt every episode. But then again, for your own safety, you can cheer them on from a distance.
