MANILA – Most parts of the country will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the low-pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said Friday.
This weather condition will be experienced over the Visayas and the regions of Caraga, Northern Mindanao, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol, Mimaropa, and Calabarzon.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) last tracked the LPA at 80 km. southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
The northeast monsoon (amihan) affecting extreme northern Luzon will bring isolated light rains over the Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and the eastern section of the Visayas.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
