BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Health-Caraga (DOH-13) reported on Tuesday 79 new recoveries from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infection that pushed the overall count to 25,747 in the region.
The recoveries account for 86.5 percent of the total 29,772 infections since last year, based on the Aug. 30 data.
There were also 185 new cases to raise the active infections tally to 3,079, or 10.3 percent of the total.
Six Covid-19 related deaths likewise placed the overall count at 946.
“Of the remaining active Covid-19 cases in Caraga, 64.3 percent are classified as asymptomatic, 31.7 percent are with mild symptoms, four percent with severe symptoms, and 0.3 percent are in critical conditions,” the DOH-13 report said.
Of the new cases reported, 83 were in Surigao del Sur, 35 in Agusan del Sur, 16 in Butuan City, 15 each in Surigao del Norte and Tandag City, 14 in Agusan del Norte, three in Surigao City, two in Dinagat Islands, and one case each in Bislig and Cabadbaran cities. (PNA)
