BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in the Caraga Region has offered online courses to teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education in the region.
In an advisory posted on its Facebook page on Wednesday, the DICT Caraga said the online courses are part of the programs of the agency’s Digital Teachers and Learners Program of the Literacy and Competency Development Bureau.
“The program aims to build and transform the digital competencies of Filipino teachers through Information and Communication Technologies,” the agency said.
Among the online courses include the Video Editing Basic for E-learning slated on Aug. 20 and the Microsoft for Digital Workplace on Aug. 25.
The two courses will help learners enhance their professionalism under the new normal and protocols amid the pandemic.
The online courses will also help teachers and non-teaching personnel of DepEd in managing and organizing activities and events under the new normal.
The DICT Caraga said the program will be implemented in partnership with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines Cagayan de Oro Campus. (PNA)
