MANILA – Most parts of Luzon will experience rains caused by the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the weather bureau said Monday.
"There is a high chance of rains over the Cagayan Valley. The ITCZ is expected to be the prevailing weather system in the next two to three days," said Loriedin de la Cruz of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Residents of Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Region 4-A (Calabarzon), Mimaropa, Bicol Region and Pangasinan should also bring an umbrella to protect themselves from rains, de la Cruz added.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies, and thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon or evening.
Improved weather will be experienced over the Visayas and Mindanao. However, thunderstorms are still possible.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire archipelago.
No weather disturbance is expected in the country in the next 24 to 36 hours. (PNA)
