MANILA, Philippines — A three-year-old girl died in a fire that broke out at a residential area in Tondo, Manila before dawn yesterday.
The girl was left alone in the house when the blaze started at past 1 a.m., according to Senior Inspector Gaudencio Magallanes of the Bureau of Fire Protection.
Magallanes said the fire razed 10 houses along Pilapil street in Dagupan, Tondo. Some 20 families were left homeless.
The fire reached the third alarm and was put out after three hours.
Damage to property was placed at P300,000.
