DAGUPAN CITY – The SM Center Dagupan and 13 other shops in the mall have received the safety seal certification in recognition of their compliance with the safety and health protocols against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Lawyer Cris Estrada, chairperson of the city’s Safety Seal Committee, said the certification aims to encourage more business establishments to strictly implement the minimum health standards.

Ang pagkakaroon ng safety seal certification ay patunay na ang business establishment na mayroon nito ay pumasa sa standards gaya ng pagkakaroon ng contact tracing mechanism, temperature checking, at iba pa. (Having the safety seal certification is proof that a business establishment passed the standards such as having the contact tracing mechanism, temperature checking, among others),” he said in his message during the awarding ceremony on Thursday.

There are now 30 establishments here that have obtained the certification.

“When I see the safety seal in front of the establishment, I feel safer knowing that they follow the minimum public health standards especially now that Covid-19 cases are increasing,” Heidi Biason of Dagupan City said in an interview on Friday.

The safety seal certification issued to the establishments in line with the Inter-Agency Task Force Resolution No. 87 is valid within six months but can be revoked earlier if violations were found. (PNA)
