What is NCR Plus? Pinoy Twitter answers

The government just announced that the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal will be under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from March 22 until April 4. The aforementioned areas covered by this bubble are now collectively called “NCR Plus.” 

Dahil dito, balik lockdown na uli ang iba sa atin. Pero dahil Pinoy nga tayo, ang best way to cope sa mga ganap ay idaan na lang sa memes at katatawanan.

Congratulations sa mga “nanalo!” Parang bagong K-POP group, diba? Marami rin ang nag-post tungkol sa anime na My Hero Academia because the name sounds similar to the show’s motto of “Plus Ultra!” (See cover photo above.) According to online users, medyo tunog produkto rin ang dating ni NCR Plus kaya naman ganito ang nangyari below.

Kulang na lang ay idagdag ang “now fortified with vitamins.” So wala na bang ibang pwede itawag sa mga lugar na sakop ng GCQ? Some Twitter users pointed out that we already have the term Greater Manila Area, which covers the very same places.
