More big names got revealed as part of the highly-anticipated Richard Gutierrez-starrer, the action-drama series Ironheart.

The Kapamilya Network is on a roll this last quarter of the year, as big projects next year are slowly being revealed to the viewers and fans. One of the most highly-anticipated projects is Richard Gutierrez’s first series–with him playing the lead. He has played villain roles, Sandrino in La Luna Sangre (2017) and Angelito Valmoria in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2020). He also starred in two Star Cinema films: Fantastica in 2018 and Unbreakable in 2019.

First announced in 2018 with the working title Project Ironheart, the series got slated to mark the first team-up of Gutierrez and then still Kapamilya star Bea Alonzo.

The project got shelved when the series Kahit Minsan Lang got offered to both Gutierrez and Alonzo. However, when Alonzo transferred to GMA Network, the project was abandoned.

It got resurrected in 2022 as A Family Affair with a new lead star and a modified core story.

After Gutierrez completed his FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano stint in July this year, preparations for his next solo starrer began. Taping for Ironheart commenced on Monday, September 26, in Dalaguete, Cebu.

Spotted during the first taping day was the ultra-talented actress Maja Salvador, who starred in the wildly successful revenge-themed series–The Killer Bride (2019) and Wildflower (2017).

Star Creatives Television revealed that Jake Cuenca, Baron Geisler, and Roi Vinzon are to be part of the series. Sue Ramirez is also set to play one of, if not Gutierrez’s main love interest in the series. Yesterday, September 30, Richard’s wife, Sarah Lahbati confirmed that the series would also mark premier leading man Albert Martinez Kadenang Ginto and 2019’s The General’s Daughter.

Young stars Karina Bautista and Kyle Echarri are also reportedly paired-up for the first time in the series, slated to debut on Primetime Bida early next year.
