Ryan Bang, thankful to ABS-CBN for continuous projects

During the Dream Maker press conference on November 9, Korean host Ryan Bang expressed gratitude to home his network ABS-CBN for landing on projects that made him realize his worth.

“Sobrang salamat ako talaga sa ABS-CBN. Kasi nag-umpisa po ako sa Pinoy Big Brother. Tas Showtime. Then ngayon, Dream Maker,” he said.

Bang will host with Kim Chiu in ABS-CBN’s upcoming collaborative talent search, Dream Maker.

In the program, he will translate the comments of the Korean mentors for the contestants.

“Ang sarap pala sa feeling na ako ‘yung tulay nila para makakaintindi [magkaintindihan],” affirmed the It’s Showtime host.

Bang emphasized that he realized his talent in translating, “Natuwa ako sa Dream Maker. Pagkatapos ng labing-tatlong taon ko sa ABS, may talent pala ako sa salita.”

The Pinoy Big Brother alumnus assured that no-sugarcoating on his translations in the program.

“Bilang translator, hindi ko dinadagdagan. Minsan lang ako nagjojoke. Pero ‘yung mensahe ng dream mentors sa dream chasers. Hindi po ako nagbobola doon. Hindi po ako nagsisinungaling.” he declared.

Bang also expressed his thanks for having Chiu as his co-host, “Ang laking bagay talaga ni Kimmy na ginagabay [ginagabayan] niya ako. Tinutulugan niya ako paano maghost.”

In 2010, Bang entered the Big Brother house along with ten other international housemates, where he won as the second Teen Big Winner. 

He was also named as one of the biggest breakthrough artists of 2010 by Entertainment Live.

In 2015, Bang starred in a fantasy series Wansapanataym Presents: Yamashita’s Treasure. The same year, he also released a single, Shopping.
