The content creator and director Darryl Yap didn’t mince words in slamming netizens who bashed Toni Gonzaga’s MMFF movie, My Teacher.

Yap took to social media to defend Gonzaga’s film from those calling it a flop.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, December 28, Yap wrote “Kung makapagsabi naman na ‘flop’ ang MY TEACHER, parang di naman sila kumain ng ininit na tae nung pinanood nila yung… kung anuman ang title nung yuckie na double flop, kayo-kayong mga langaw lang ‘yan. Ge, maglokohan tayo.”

According to the most recent unofficial MMFF box office ranking, My Teacher remains at the bottom of the list, with Vice Ganda-Ivana Alawi starrer Partners in Crime holding the top spot.

Reports that My Teacher is being pulled out of several cinemas and replaced by PIC due to poor ticket sales.

Meanwhile, Yap slammed an unnamed MMFF film creator, saying he got what he deserved for failing to win an award after previously criticizing his film Maid in Malacanang.

“Ngayong di nanalo ng award yung pelikulang ang mga gumawa ay sobrang makabash at makasira sa #MiM—sigaw nang sigaw ng TANGKILIKIN PO NATIN ANG PELIKULANG PILIPINO!!!. So ano yung #MAIDinMALACAÑANG? Foreign Film? Gawa ng Alien? EDI KAYO NA LANG ANG PILIPINO. HAHAHAHA. Mga trip nyo, pang loser talaga.”

Although Yap didn’t mention a name, Yap was referring to Direk Joel Lamangan, who directed My Father, Myself.
