At the media conference for the upcoming Viva Films adaptation ‘Spellbound’ which LionhearTV covered on January 13, Viva artist Marco Gumabao detailed his realizations about being ghosted.

Gumabao admitted that he recently realized that he had been ghosted in 2022. The actor revealed, “Ako? Na-ghost na ko noong 2022 lang. Masakit, masakit siya. But at the same time– at first– parang now na tinanong mo sa akin, ngayon ko lang naisip na oo nga no, na-ghost pala ako. Ngayon ko lang na-realize na I got ghosted last year.”

He then shared his mindset about moving on from his experience.

“But okay lang, ‘yun nga, same as Bela, we move on, and we always siyempre– we don’t wish well sa taong nanggho-ghost sa atin. As a matter of fact, we also wish them more, na sana maging okay ‘yung life nila with us, joke lang. Na sana maging okay sila, na maging happy sila.”

He also expressed his thoughts about ghosting in general. He said, “Nakakatuwa lang na ngayon ko lang na-realize na oo nga no na-ghost na pala ako. So yes, it’s real, but at the same time it’s not a nice feeling. No to ghosting.”

He acknowledged that getting ghosted is a normal part of people’s experience.

“Yun nga about ghosting in the past, yes I was ghosted in 2022 and nakakatawa na ngayon ko lang narealize. Pero, ayun okay lang, life goes on di ba? We move on, we forgive, kahit na tayo ‘yung na-ghost, I mean it’s normal naman na ma-ghost tayo na kahit once in our life.”

Gumabao stars with Bela Padilla in the Philippine adaptation of the 2011 Korean film, ‘Spellbound’.

The film also features a Viva cast with Rhen Escaño, Cindy Miranda, Benj Manalo, Ronnie Liang, and Moi Bien.

‘Spellbound’ premieres in cinemas nationwide on February 1 under the direction of Jalz Zarate.
