Jung Ho Yeon of ‘Squid Game’ advocates for Empathy

During a media conference on November 11, Korean actress Jung Ho Yeon weighed on the powerful advice she received that changed her outlook about the world.

“My view about the world is changing all the time. But I’d always talk about with my friends the feeling of empathizing with each other,” she expressed.

The actress continued, “I feel like everyone is getting busier by the day, and we’re not very interested in each other’s lives. We are losing the ability to empathize with each other.”

In her first-ever fan meeting in the country, the Squid Game star said she’s taking many pictures. She wants to hug the fans but can’t because of the pandemic.

Recently, Jung has got named as one of 2022’s TIME 100 Next list as a rising leader.

After portraying Kang Sae-byeok (Player 067) in Korean drama Squid Game, the actress-model gathered enormous popularity. 

She became the most followed South Korean actress in Instagram weeks after the launch of Squid Game.

Because of the said role, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Jung is the newest brand ambassador of IAM Worldwide, a Filipino-owned company.
