Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose reacted to being compared to Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano during the media conference for LIMITLESS: a Musical Trilogy

Director Paolo Valenciano compared the multi-talented artist to his dad, Valenciano.

“I’ve worked with all the artists in the industry. And you know, my standard has always been Gary V. That’s why I always give a hard time to these artists when I conceptualize for them. It’s always Gary V. Gary V’s the standard that should be our goal.

“‘Yung mga ginagawa niya when she first started, I was just like, ‘wow, this girl can actually do more than my dad.”

San Jose gushed over Direk Paolo’s comparison.

“Nako, Tito Gary, incomparable. He’s one of my musical influences.

“Hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yung nafe-feel ko. But, I just feel like lahat ng mga binibigay gusto ko siya i-share.”

She also reacted to the junior Valenciano’s recent posts, saying it’s the Limitless Star’s year.

“I would love to believe so, kasi ‘yung mga projects na ginagawa ko is more than projects.”

She also revealed her projects for the year, including the VIU Musical teleserye, Still with Christian Bautista.

As for her concert event, Director Paolo told reporters that he has been ‘courting’ Julie Anne for solo projects for over a year.

“Matagal ko nang nililigawan to si Julie in terms of na bigyan ako ng projects na siya lang eh.

“This is my first solo project, solo ‘projects’ with Julie.”

She agreed with Valenciano, noting how their conversation went.

“Si Direk Pao, matagal na kaming nag-uusap niyan. Kasi everytime na, oh let’s do something like this, ganito, ganyan.

“Before they came up with the Limitless trilogy, we had a conversation. I was like, ‘ito ‘yung mga naiisip ko.’ Parang oh sige iplano natin ‘yan.”

LIMITLESS, A Musical Trilogy launches on September 17. Tickets are currently on sale with prices ranging from P599 to P3,299. Directed by Paolo Valenciano, the three-part concert takes place in three different locations in the country.
