Viva artist Angeli Khang maintains that she does not consider herself a professional actress yet at the media conference of Girl Friday with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 12.

Khang described acting and every movie she worked on as a continuous learning process.

“I still don’t think of me as a like a professional na ‘yung talagang marunong na sa pag-acting kasi it’s a learning process. Every movie is a learning process. Kaya, it’s– naging different naman ‘yung pananaw ko sa pag-acting pero, much, much, wider and knowledgeable.”

She then expressed hopes of working on an action movie in her future projects.

“I hope so, I’m really rooting for it kasi puro drama ‘yung nagagawa ko. Laging iyak, laging sabaw after set, and I have to rest extra kasi talagang nade-drain ako. But, I love acting, and sana magawa ko din ‘yung ibang mga roles.”

As for the feedback she received from fans, Khang noted that people are generally supportive of her career and that they accepted her venture into the sexy genre.

“It’s nice na wala akong naririnig or nababasang bad about our movie, sa tingin ko majority of the people, parang naa-accept na rin nila sa iisang movie– that doesn’t mean na pinapakita na ganon eh doon na talaga ‘yung pino-point nila.

“And masaya, masaya na accepted nila. Unlike before, nagugulat pa ‘yung mga tao na ay bakit ganyan, ang bata-bata pa. Kaka-start pa lang parang, hindi pa open, super taboo pa sa Pilipinas.”

As for their movie, Girl Friday stars Angeli Khang, Jela Cuenca, and Jay Manalo.

Vivamax’s sexy movie Girl Friday, directed by Joel Lamangan, streams on September 30.
