Several netizens shared their reactions to the news that Toni Gonzaga is planning to go back to school to take up law in 2023.

In an exclusive interview with the Philippine Star published on December 28, Gonzaga shared her plan to be admitted to law school in 2023 after getting inspired by their film ‘My Teacher.’

The TV host/actress said, “Next year, that’s my dream… babalik ako sa school. Yun ang nakita ko sa sarili ko. Yan ang target ko this 2023 – mag-aral dahil sa pelikulang ito. I want to go back to school because when we were doing this film, nag-re-research ka at nakikita mo na it’s really possible, and ang daming bumabalik sa school.”

As a result of talking with her husband’s lawyer friends, Gonzaga learned a lot about “law”; what can and cannot be done.

Netizens, meanwhile, can’t help but react to Gonzaga’s latest pronouncements.

In a tweet, @altABSCBN compared Gonzaga to former PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson, who also publicized her plan to enroll in law school.

Doctor-activist and social media personality Dr. RJ Naguit also reacted, saying it would not be far-fetched if the next thing she does is run for a Senate seat.

@simplykchere tweeted that it might just be Gonzaga’s stepping stone to politics.

Toni’s plans, meanwhile, were linked to her fading career, according to @galaxchii, @idoartbro, and @jihlemonade.

Gonzaga’s film and television careers have suffered greatly as a result of her outspoken support for Rodante Marcoleta, one of the ABS-CBN franchise’s principal murderers.

During the election campaign, Gonzaga enthusiastically introduced Marcoleta as the next Senator of the Republic, which cost her a hosting job on ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Big Brother.

She may have landed a TV deal with Villar’s ALLTV network, but her discussion program is underperforming in the ratings.

Her latest film, the MMFF entry ‘My Teacher’, also had a lackluster performance at the box office, landing at the bottom of the box office ranking.

Previously, her 2021 horror comedy film ‘The ExorSis’ also didn’t do well at the box office.
