During the show’s media debut on November 5, hunk actor Richard Gutierrez expressed gratitude for the chance to finally work with actress-host Maja Salavador.
The actor said, “I’m always grateful to Maja and his team because it’s been a long time since we tried to collaborate on a show, and finally natuloy kami sa ‘The Iron Heart’.”
In spite of not disclosing the titles of previous attempts to collaborate, Gutierrez thinks now is the right time to collaborate with Salvador.
He added, “Eksakto yung timing ng pagpasok ni Maja. We couldn’t be happier to have her onboard. We’re very thankful kay Maja na tinanggap niya.”
Salvador echoed the actor’s sentiments by saying that she did not hesitate to accept the role when it was introduced to her. She shared, “Madali lang ako napapayag kasi of course, it’s under Star Creatives…nung sinabi na show with Richard sabi ko, ‘Sige, pakinggan ko,’ because baka ito na ‘yung tamang panahon para magsama kami ni Chard.”
The actress also shared that after the show underwent a few revisions, she immediately flew to Cebu to join the filming where she was thanked by Gutierrez several times.
Three years after The Killer Bride, Salvador is back on the Kapamilya screen with The Iron Heart. The actress will play a special participation role as Apollo’s childhood friend and love interest.
The ‘Iron Heart’ is Gutierrez’s first Kapamilya solo-starrer.
Joining Gutierrez and Salvador in the upcoming action-drama are Sue Ramirez, Jake Cuenca, Dimples Romana, Pepe Herrera, Baron Geisler, Sofia Andres, Kyle Echarri, Diether Ocampo, Albert Martinez, Enzo Pineda, Althea Ruedas, and Meryll Soriano.
‘The Iron Heart’ will premiere on ABS-CBN on November 14.
