The pandemic and ABS-CBN shut down pushed Kapamilya stars to move to other networks, however, Luis Manzano does not want to judge them.
In the virtual mediacon of Sweet Via, Push asked Manzano about his opinion on his fellow artists’ move to transfer to other networks.
The seasoned TV host said that he respects the decision of his fellow artists and understands them for they did it for their families’ sake.
“Ako ang unang-unang magsasabi na ‘a man has to do what a man has to do.’ I will never judge any artist, any staff, kahit sino na lumilipat ng istasyon because siyempre kung nasaan ang trabaho doon ka dapat, lalung-lalo na kung may pamilya ka,” he said.
As breadwinners, artists are pressured to earn a living to sustain their families thus, they should never be criticized.
“Why would I judge someone na ang habol lang naman niya is to provide whether for himself or for his family? I will never judge any of the artist na lumipat — never.”
Though he supports those who chose to move to other networks, for him, he prefers to stay as a Kapamilya.
In the same interview, he also clarified that he has no intention of entering the world of politics.
“Wala din talagang plano because I’m still with ABS-CBN. Busy pa naman ako sa lahat ng mga kailangan kong gawin.”
His parents–Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos are politicians and held offices in government. Santos is currently serving as the 6th district representative of Batangas.
Currently, he enjoys his married life and wishes to have kids soon with his wife Jessy Mendiola.
“Naku, I am looking forward to that. Sana soon ay mangyari na [na magka-baby kami]. Alam n’yo naman it’s not easy to have such big step in life with this pandemic going on, di ba? Pero sana ‘yon na ‘yung next to happen.”
