Through a facebook post on Thursday, October 21, Sunshine Cruz explained her freelancing status after netizens questioned her loyalty to her network.
Cruz returned to GMA Network after starrinng in ABS-CBN’s drama series Bagong Umaga,
After almost a seven-month hiatus, the 44-year-old actress will soon return to TV.
She will star in a two-part episode of Wish Ko Lang, a weekly drama anthology of GMA Network. She was also tapped to lead Stories from the Heart: Love on Air.
Netizens then questioned her loyalty as an artist of a network for she worked for different networks.
Cruz then explained that she is thankful for the opportunity she received from ABS-CBN, GMA-7, and TV5.
Cruz said, “Konting pagkaklaro lang sa ilang mga comments na aking nabasa ngayon.
“I am grateful to both networks for always giving me the opportunity to work for them.
“Lagi nila akong tinatanggap with open arms at blessing ang work sa akin. I appreciate the inquiries and work being given to me by both Kapamilya and Kapuso.”
The actress also said she is excited to work with Maja Salvador in TV5’s Niño Niña. The two worked together in ABS-CBN’s series Wildflower.
“Even with TV5 nagpapasalamat ako because I will be seen soon bilang guest sa Niña Niño.
“Hindi ako nagdalawang isip dahil gusto ko ulit maka trabaho si Ms. Maja Salvador na aking naging anak sa Wildflower.”
As a mother of three girls, Cruz said she is willing to take on a good opportunity just to provide for her family.
Cruz explained, “Isa akong ‘freelance artist o freelancer’ and as a single mom who fends for my 3 princesses, ang magandang oportunidad that’s being offered to me ay aking tatanggapin.
“I am 44 years old pero marami pa akong pangarap at gustong ma-achieve sa buhay.
“Huwag po sana kayo magalit sa mga katulad naming freelance artist na ang gusto lamang ay magtrabaho ng maayos para sa aming mga pamilya.”
