No issue at all! Aiko Melendez, not mindful of sharing the lead role with Beauty Gonzalez in a series

Kapuso actress Aiko Melendez maintained her stance of not being mindful of sharing the lead role with Beauty Gonzalez.

At the media conference for Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters, including LionhearTV, Melendez highlighted how much she wants to work with Gonzalez in the latest season of Mano Po Legacy.

“Ay no, not at all, not at all.

“Sa akin kasi, dumaan din naman ako sa pagiging newcomer, and then sa akin, it doesn’t matter to me kung equal billing kami lahat. I’ve always said this in my interviews na I’ve always wanted to work with Beauty kasi nga ang sarap na magkatapat ‘yung show namin dati na Primadonnas, tapos ngayon kami na ang magkatapat ngayon.”

She also noted how they clicked while working together in the series.

“Isang nakilala ko dito si Beauty dito kasi, nakasama ko na sa endorsement shoot, dati bait na bait na ako sa kaniya, Skin Care. Ngayon kasama pa niya ‘yung husband niyang si Norman noon, so maiksi lang ‘yun, dalawang oras lang kami nagsama, pero sabi ko, parang feeling ko magki-click kami nito.

“Noong first day pa lang nag-taping kami tama nga, nag-click nga kami dahil pareho nga kaming lukaret.”

She then detailed their bonding moments on the set of their Kapuso series.

“Kasi kapag nasa set kami, wala kaming ibang ginawa kung di tawa ng tawa. Tapos kunyari kapag may nagkamali sa amin ng linya sa isa, mayroon akong nalaman na words doon, ‘Sagi-atay.’ Eh minsan naano ko na rin, ‘Sagi-atay.’ So tapos, minsan kaming mga sharing din, mayroong mga love life din, siyempre hindi na nawawala.”

Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters stars her with Gonzalez, Angel Guardian, and Thea Tolentino.

The supporting characters include a stellar Kapuso cast with Mikee Quintos, Paul Salas, Isabel Rivas, Bodjie Pascua, Johnny Revilla, Tanya Garcia, Sue Prado, Rafael Rosell, Marcus Madrigal, Miggs Cuaderno, Will Ashley, Carlo San Juan, Dustin Yu, Kimson Tan, Reins Mika, Sandro Muhlach, Yvette Sanchez, Sophia Senoron, Larkin Castor, and Cheska Fausto.

Through the direction of Ian Loreños and the creative mind of Jose Javier Reyes as the writer, Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters premieres on GMA Network on October 31.
