Fans were quick to cheer him on and support his social media flex. (Yes, that is Queen Cersei Lannister herself, Lena Headey, heart-reacting to the post.)

Page’s fans were also ready to throw hands and defend the actor against transphobes who might try to ruin his summer vibe.

Thankfully, Elliot Page is surrounded by so much love from both fans and industry colleagues, who have been very supportive of his transition.

We can’t wait to see him revisit his Umbrella Academy role for the next season! (Yes, that is another awesome celebrity heart-reacting to his post, namely, Alias actress and Juno co-star Jennifer Garner.)

While we appreciate Elliot Page’s post, we would also like to remind readers that regardless of the transitional stage, all gender identities are valid. Let’s not forget the members of the community who don’t have the privilege of receiving transition surgery. You don’t have to “pass” for a certain gender in order to be recognized by that identity.

That said, we are thankful for celebrities such as Elliot Page who are brave enough to share their truth and represent a sector that hasn’t always been visible.

So let’s celebrate living as our true selves without any discrimination!

What should be the next creative project for Elliot Page? How do you live as your true self?
