Given the massive success of the original Space Jam film, the LeBron James-led sequel, A New Legacy, will have some big shoes to fill.
The 1996 film had several notable celebrity cameos and big-name athletes, which is another reason for its lasting popularity.
While the recent trailers already confirmed appearances by NBA and WNBA players, fans are also hoping to see the OG GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.

If Don Cheadle is to be believed, there's a great chance of this happening.
Cheadle, who is set to play the big baddie of the film Al-G Rhythm, recently teased Jordan’s involvement in Space Jam 2.
He spills the beans in a virtual interview with Access Hollywood and says, “Michael Jordan is in the movie...but not in the way that you expect him to be."

While this is an exciting reveal for MJ fans, we shouldn’t get our hopes up just yet. Based on Cheadle’s wording, Jordan will probably make either a split-second appearance or have a slight reference in the movie.
Any kind of nod to the first Space Jam is a win for ’90s kids who grew up watching Jordan in action. (If Kobe Bryant were still around, we would have wanted to see him in the film, too.)
