MANILA – Two suspects yielded some PHP10.2 million worth of shabu in a buy bust in Valenzuela City, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Friday.

In a report to Camp Crame, acting NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said the suspects Ernesto Francisco and Genelyn Mararac, both high-value targets, were arrested by local police in Barangay Ugong on Thursday night.

Seized from the suspects were around 1.5 kilograms of shabu in several vacuum-sealed plastic sachets, PHP15,000 cash, a digital weighing scale, mobile phones, wristwatches, and some pieces of jewelry.

Danao said the seized illegal drugs would be turned over to the Northern Police District's Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis, while the other items were subject to inventory.

The suspects will be charged with the violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
