MANILA – The Civil-Military Operations Group of the Philippine Navy (PN) in partnership with the PN Officers' Wives and Husbands Association (PNOWHA) gave necessities to child patients at the Center for Health Improvement and Life Development (CHILD) Haus in Ermita, Manila on Wednesday.
Led by Ms. Rachel Cruz Bacordo, wife of Navy chief Vice Adm. Giovanni Carlo Bacordo, the Navy donated a total of 26 gift bags and seven gift boxes consisting of hygiene kits intended for the improvement of the patients’ health and welfare.
"The PN and the PNOWHA continue to deliver selfless service to our poor citizens, as our commitment and in fulfillment of our desire to make life better for all," said Mrs. Bacordo.
The gift-giving activity is part of the Navy's Christmas Celebration 2020 Program that aims to show humanitarian concern and the spirit of Christmas to deprived children who are diagnosed with critical illnesses.
"It is one way of saying that the nation can depend on the Philippine Navy at all times, " Mrs. Bacordo said. (PR)
