Lenovo has officially announced its latest ThinkBook lineup, the enhanced ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i, along with the new ThinkBook 13x i, ThinkBook 14p Gen 2, and ThinkBook 16p Gen 2.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i features the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processor. It sports an e-Ink display, which has increased from 48% screen-to-body (STB) ratio to 68%, offering a larger 12-inch usable area and has 2560 x 1600 resolution of the main display. It has also improved with a better refresh rate and e-Ink User Interface (UI) for more intuitive access to most used information with flexible options to run productivity apps without the need to open the lid. Moreover, its touch interaction has also been improved with a new garaged pen that will automatically launch select applications.
Connectivity features include Intel Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6, and a new optional ThinkBook Charging Mat, powered by Energysquare’s Power by Contact technology that can wirelessly recharge the larger battery, providing up to 15 hours of charge or up to 24 hours when using the e-Ink display only.
On the other hand, the new ThinkBook 13x i is dubbed as the brand’s one of the slimmest 13-inch business laptops. It is designed on the Intel Evo platform and powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core Processor. Both ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i and ThinkBook 13x i can deliver excellent speed and intelligence while maintaining their long battery life. Additionally, the ThinkBook 13x comes with Wi-Fi 6 fast speed wireless LAN and a 53Whr battery.
However, the ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 is thin and light, featuring a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with a VESA DisplayHDR True Black standard.
Lastly, the ThinkBook 16p Gen 2 sports a 16-inch screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution. This can also be configured with a pre-calibrated display that is X-Rite Pantone certified.
Both ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 and 16p Gen 2 are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors. These support an optional Full HD webcam protected by ThinkShutter physical covers, a larger Touchpad, and a comfortable ambient light sensing backlit keyboard. These laptops also feature smart functions, such as an AI-based noise cancellation algorithm that will suppress ambient noise. This would allow users to easily switch audio modes between Private mode for personal conferencing, Shared mode for group calling, or Environmental mode to share sounds from other devices.
Meanwhile, Lenovo has also announced helping business users be more efficient with these PCs through the Lenovo Vantage. The Lenovo Vantage software is set to receive several updates over the next few months, wherein some of which are specific to SMB users that specify within the app that their device will be used for “Work.” The new features include the Meeting Manager and Creator Center within Vantage to help users better configure their device settings for online meetings and creative work and applications. Nevertheless, the update also sees an expansion of recently launched Vantage Smart Performance Services to various markets globally, granting more users access to one-click scans, fixes for malware, and zero-day virus removal across all-in-one PC performance, maintenance, and security.
