The Philippine Food and Drug Authority (FDA) released an advisory last week warning shoppers against purchasing the “unauthorized” cologne endorsed by actress Toni Gonzaga and vlogger Winnie Wong.

Pouf Everyday Bloom Cologne Spray, which Gonzaga and Wong launched in 2020, “shows no valid Certificate of Product Notification (CPN) as of 17 December 2020,” the FDA said.

“Since the abovementioned unauthorized cosmetic product has not gone through the notification process of the FDA, the agency cannot assure their quality and safety. The use of such violative product may pose health risks to consumers,” the agency added.

The agency added that the use of “substandard” cosmetic products may result in adverse reactions such as “skin irritation, itchiness, anaphylactic shock, and organ failure.”

“In light of the foregoing, the public is advised not to purchase the aforementioned violative cosmetic product,” the government department said.

Consumers can report the unauthorized sale or distribution of the product, as well as any adverse reactions, to ereport@fda.gov.ph or call +6328857-1900 local 8113 or 8107.
