BAGUIO CITY – Policemen in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) brought behind bars 28 persons who are subjects of warrants of arrest in a week.
Capt. Marnie Abellanida, Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) information officer, on Tuesday said the arrests were recorded from Jan. 3 to 9.
He said Baguio City Police recorded the most arrests, with 15 fugitives. This will allow the court to pursue the proceedings involving the persons.
Benguet Provincial Police Office recorded six arrests, Ifugao provincial police office with three, and Abra as well as Kalinga provincial police offices recorded two each.
Abellanida said the arrest is a result of the PNP’s campaign to detain persons who are wanted by the law, to allow them to either defend themselves or to give justice to their victims. (PNA)
