In the media conference for  the GTV launch, GMA Films President Annette Gozon Valdes confirms that GTV channel will not only cater to Kapuso artists. But also talents from different managers and production houses.

Gozon said that, at the moment, the new channel currently features Kapuso and GMA Network artists in their roster of programs.

“Yes! Actually, mga Kapuso stars yung ngayon di ba, the new shows we’ve been launching, but GTV is actually open to all artists, not just Kapuso artists,” said Gozon

Gozon later confirmed that GTV is open to all artists from different managers and production houses.

“We are also open to cast artists from all managers, all production houses, so in the future, hopefully, you’ll be seeing more of these other artists,” said Gozon.

Gozon also pointed that GTV aims to provide programs for viewers who are in their teens and young adults.

“We’re really targetting the younger audience, siguro pwede na rin teens, but mostly the ’20s and the ’30s, especially given (the fact) that we will also be having the NCAA soon with us,” said Gozon.

Gozon also said that the new channel will provide content to the young and young-at-heart with shows that have more variety.

“The difference between GMA and GTV is that we want to really touch the hearts of the young and the young at heart with this channel. Because we feel the audience is really looking for variety,” said Gozon.
