MANILA – The tail-end of a frontal system and the northeast monsoon (amihan) will bring rains over parts of Luzon, the weather bureau said Wednesday.
In its latest weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Aurora due to the tail-end of a frontal system.
Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will have light rains, while the Cordillera and Ilocos regions will experience isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms and the easterlies.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over extreme northern Luzon.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
