Make way for queen Roseanne Park Chae Young! The day has finally arrived after countless online pleas from excited Blinks to release Rosé’s solo project. The debut album called “-R-” is dropping a digital copy that will be quickly followed by a physical album on March 16. Tracks featured include the song “Gone,” which Rosé sang publicly for the first time during Blackpink’s virtual concert, and “On The Ground,” which will have an MV.

Check out the teasers for the “On the Ground” music video below.

“On the Ground” and “Gone” are the only tracks from the album that will feature two versions of each song.

“On the Ground” was produced by Jorgen Odegard, (Justin Bieber and P!nk), Ojivolta (Halsey, Selena Gomez), TEDDY (Blackpink), Jon Bellion (Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus) and 24 (The Black Label under YG). While Brian Lee (BLACKPINK, Post Malone, Jaden) produced the track “Gone.”  The aforementioned songs were also co-written by our own Rosé as well.

Fellow Blackpink members Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa have been very supportive of the project and have been sharing the promotional posters online. (We love women supporting women!)

The anticipation kept building as it got closer to the launch with “-R-” setting an impressive record of around 400,000 stock pre-orders as of March 8. (That album hasn’t even dropped yet at that point!) This is the highest number of stock pre-orders by a Korean female artist!

Congrats, Rosie! You deserve this and so much more!

Are you excited to watch the “On the Ground” MV? Have you placed your order yet for Rosé’s solo album?
