The 17-year-old singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo may be young but when it comes to capturing heartache, she is wise beyond her years. To get hit right in the feels, watch the MV of her hit track “Driver’s License,” below.

Olivia’s aforementioned single debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and steadily rolled along for several weeks. She is only one out of four artists, born during or past the year 2000, to have topped the chart. The singer joins the likes of Billie Eilish, 24kGoldn, and Jawsh 685. (Are you feeling old yet?)

Aside from singing, Olivia also pursued acting and started at a young age. Her family supported her career goals by moving from Marietta, California to Los Angeles. The teen started acting in bit parts, appearing in an episode of New Girl as one of Jessica Day’s (played by Zooey Deschanel) students. And then she landed her big role as Nini Salazar-Roberts in the Disney+ series, High School Musical: The Musical and has even written some songs for the show. One of her tracks, “All I Want,” has been streamed on Spotify over 187 million times. This girl can do anything and everything!

And even when leading such a busy lifestyle, Olivia still manages to spend time with her family, making Pinoy meals together. That’s right, she’s Filipino on her father’s side and is one of us. The teen shared in this video that she grew up with a lot of Filipino traditions. Her favorite food? Lumpia, of course!

Olivia also happens to be a huge Swiftie and considers Taylor Swift to be her favorite artist of all time. She often posts covers of Taylor’s songs on her social media platforms. So it was no surprise that Olivia was over the moon when Taylor sent her the coveted cardigan from the latter’s recent bop. As if that wasn’t enough to make any Swiftie happy, Taylor even commented on Olivia’s post following the release of “Driver’s License” with the caption: “I say that’s my baby and I’m proud.”

So will we be seeing a Taylor Swift x Olivia Rodrigo collaboration anytime soon? Who knows, but we can count on seeing more awesome work from this talented teen.
