Billie Eilish breaks the Internet with her new blonde hair

Who knew that a new hairdo could become such a big deal? Billie Eilish says goodbye to her iconic black-and-green hybrid dye (which she’s had since 2019) and goes platinum peach blonde. It looks like her records aren’t the only thing that’s going platinum these days. 

The Grammy Winner, who recently took home the award for Record of the Year for “Everything I Wanted” and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “No Time To Die,” and rubbed elbows with Harry Styles, surprised fans when she suddenly showed it off on Instagram. The video clip features Eilish doing a dramatic hair flip along with the caption, “Did you guess correctly?”

The fan reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, with online users creating image splices and video clips comparing the teen singer to an ethereal fairy. 

While the change in hair color may have come as a surprise to most of her followers, some eagle-eyed Internet detectives have already picked up clues regarding the big news. Back in December, the artist announced plans to change her signature look and start “a new era” following her documentary “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry.”
