Doc Nielsen went to Mati, Davao Oriental to meet the 'Amihan' boys and girls and observe how they save marine life like sea cows and sea turtles from danger. The Black Earwig is one of the dominant insect predators in the Philippine forest. It is commonly used to eliminate Coconut Leaf Beetles that damage coconut trees. Besides being known as soldiers of farmers, female Black Earwigs are famous for their soft spot. They carry all their offspring when in danger. Doc Ferds carefully observed their behavior in a laboratory.
