The BTS and Blackpink global supremacy continues as both bands are announced as nominees for the Kids’ Choice Awards 2021 during Nickelodeon’s livestream event.

ICYDK: BTS and Blackpink are both up for the Favorite Music Group award and are the only international bands in this lineup that are nominated alongside U.S. musicians. Blinks and the ARMY should be pleased to know that these groups were so popular that they were nominated for more than one category.

Blackpink’s cutesy aesthetic song “Ice Cream,” featuring Selena Gomez, also bagged a Favorite Music Collaboration nom. And we think the girl group is just getting started with 2021 as they kicked off the year with their recently concluded livestream performance. “The Show,” was a special online concert which also became the debut of Rosé’s solo single.

In fact, BTS is in the running for Best Global Music Star, repping the entire continent of Asia. Their hit song that’s forever stuck in our heads, “Dynamite,” is also up for Favorite Song!
Since the boys already won Best Music Group during last year’s KCA, this upcoming awards show is more of an opportunity to defend their title. After all, they are also the proud recipients of TIME’s 2020 Entertainer of the Year award, so we believe that their popularity will continue to rise in 2021.
